ABOUT ME

You may be reading this because life is or feels like it is a real struggle. Perhaps you’re tired of that and you want something to change. Working together we can try to make sense of those difficult feelings or problems - these may be your individual feelings or in the context of your relationships now or previously. Just because someone has gone from your life you might still be struggling with the shadow of that relationship.

You might recognise that you are driven to repeat patterns. You might have had a sense for a while that something isn’t quite right, a voice inside stopping you from living a happy and fulfilling life - you’re curious to see if therapy could help. Let's try to sort that out together.

Our thoughts and feelings in the present - how we experience ourselves and others - are affected by what went before, sometimes stemming from childhood. Our reactions to friends and family, along with our own internal thoughts and emotions, are often strongly based on how people close to us responded to us in the past.

I also have experience within the NHS working as a psychotherapist.

Qualifications

MSc Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, Birkbeck, University of London. MSc Theoretical Psychoanalysis, University College London (UCL). MA Psychology of Religion, Heythrop College, University of London. I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

The way I work

Working psychodynamically together, your therapeutic journey will bring unconscious feelings into consciousness, as we work through previously unknown thoughts and feelings - traumas, losses, rejections - allowing a deeper sense of yourself to emerge. My role is to listen and reflect with you in a non-judgemental way.

I offer long-term therapy at the same time every week I think that is important to bring about change.
